Henry W. Kronner, Ph.D., LCSW
BCBS-PPO, United Health Care, AETNA, CIGNA, and Humana
I have been providing counseling services since 1991, and currently provide psychotherapy to adults and older adults. Many of my clients struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, and interpersonal relationships. Some struggle with their identities, such as sexual orientation and gender identity. Even though I am not a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor, I often work with my clients on addressing substance abuse challenges related to alcohol, marijuana, and illegal drugs, as well as prescription drugs.
I began providing therapy to children and their parents/families. I have also worked with those who were/are diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, and currently my focus is on helping adults and older adults with the above stated mental health and substance use challenges.
Treatment can be brief or long-term depending on what the client wants/needs.
Sessions generally last 50 minutes, but can also be briefer at 30 minutes.
Individual counseling, couples counseling, life coaching
Clients will address concerns that they have such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, and substance use/abuse. They will learn coping skills that will help with each of these areas, and also learn to change their "negative" thinking and acknowledge their strengths and accomplishments. For those who wish to explore where their patterns have developed, we can focus on family, friends, society, etc. and the messages that were sent and received, and how these messages created patterns of thinking and behaving.
